 You may be contemplating on what size container to utilize? 

There are various sizes and sorts of steel containers available. When delivering payload, it is useful to know what kind of container would be suitable for your goods. United Cargo Services Ltd can advise you on which container to utilize.  

  1. For Full Container Load Service: FCL

If the Customer has significant amount of Freight and Cargo to Import or Export, they can use a Full Container, this option would be best for transporting Freight and Cargo to and from various Destination. Majority of the time FCL containers are filled at the Customers Premises and Secured with a Seal Tag, The FCL Container is then transported directly to the Port to be exported out to the destination.

There are various Types of Container sizes which can be used to Carry Freight and Cargo, they vary from 20ft Container which can Transport approximate 12 Pallets or a 40ft Container which can Transport more than 12 pallets.

Also Refer Containers (Refrigerated Climate Control) 

Depending on Customer’s requirements, the Products, Weight, Volume Size of the Freight and Cargo, we will help and guide the Customer in determining which container would be appropriate for your shipment. 

  1. Less Container Load Service: LCL

If the Customer Does not have enough Freight and Cargo to Fill a FCL Container, then the next best option would be Less Container Load LCL Service, transporting Freight and Cargo to its destination.

Unlike FCL Loads comes directly from the port, LCL Freight and Cargo would have to be collected or delivered to or from the Customers Premises from packing / unpacking warehouse near the Ports. LCL shipments are grouped together with other Customers Shipments and loaded in one FCL Container, which is a Groupage Container Load. Again, depending on Customer’s requirements, Products, Weight, Volume Size of the Freight and Cargo, we will help and guide the Customer in determining which container would be appropriate for their shipment. Costs would be considerably less then FCL Container Load. 

 

Reefer Container Load (Refrigerated)

Certain products for example food Products require a climate Temperature Control Container, being a Reefer Container fitted with a special equipment called a GENSET (Generator Set), where proper temperature can be controlled and set to maintain the condition of the products and therefore reducing the chances of certain goods getting spoilt  or damaged when transporting to other destination.

  • Road Freight Service:

Road freight service is generally used by most of our clients who want to deliver the consignment to their locations. Compared to Sea & Air freight the cost of road freight is cheaper. Our customers usually use this service to transport their freight via land to any location within the UK or Mainland Europe. We can collect your freight from your business or home and transport it to your destination using our dedicated drivers and trucks.

EXPORT DECLARATION:

The New Export System (NES) was introduced and executed at all Major UK ports in 2002.  As we are directly connected to NES, United Cargo Services Ltd can on behalf of the Exporter submit an Export Declaration to Customs giving complete Details about the specified goods which will be exported to another country. HMRC Customs will require a detail Description of the goods, who would be the Sender and Receiver of the shipment, a value for Customs, Weight and Quantity of the goods. All this information can be listed on an Invoice & Packing List.

Export Customs Clearance

Export declaration is sent electronically to HM Revenue & Customs via the NES system which is also connected to CHEIF and is applicable to both commercial and non-commercial cargo. It is important to submit an Export Entry at the time of Export, if applicable it is also a requirement and important to have an Export license in place before Export Entry Procedures take place. Failure to complete an Export Entry at the time of Export would result in cargo being left behind at the ports, would result in unnecessary HMRC fines, Storage Charges and delays

The Stages For Export of Goods

  • You need to pack your contents of the goods securely
  • Establish Total Weight and Dimensions of each box in the Shipment, 
  • Preparation for Export Documentation, Invoice & Packing List
  • Arranging movement of your shipment to our warehouse safely
  • The specified shipment will be checked weighed and Security Scanned.
  • After goods have past security all Customs declarations have been done, your goods will be ready to export to the desired country.
